this is a moment i really wish they’d expanded more on in the cassian and k-2so comic. droids in star wars are, so very very often, given absolutely no control over their lives and the decisions they’re ordered to make. and in rogue one, choices over who you choose to follow and how you choose to follow them are kind of a big thing. but here k-2so is given no choice, despite asking for it, while cassian goes in and deletes imperial programming, and for the rest of the comic k-2so follows along with anything cassian says.
I don’t like how the droids were treated in star wars, or to be more specific, I don’t like how the organic species treat droids… maybe it’s because I am a transformers fan first, so I tend to see sentient droids as people rather than non-sentient AIs
