It’s also wild for them to say that when Japan, Korea China and Taiwan have robust film industries. Like that is objectively u true because over a billion people are watching,creating, and performing in expressive media. Like racist is a hell of a drug for them to say that.
Maybe if they stopped writing all of their explicitly Asian characters as ultra-stoic stereotypes and cultural caricatures and started writing them as actual people (and maybe started watching some stuff made outside of Hollywood) they would have some frame of reference for Asians expressing emotions.
Or actually getting to know/have real asiain friends because i doubt they know any in real life
