(Contains spoilers for the Thrawn Novel)
There has been a few anti-Pryce posts on my dash this week and My thoughts on her spiraled out of control. I just wanted to throw my two cents in without making a mess of those posts. This is in no way meant to attack other people’s opinions, just studying what I like and dislike and considering reasons for the various reactions she gets.
(Extremely long character examination essay that I may have spent the better part of three or four hours on under the cut.)
Totally agree.
I like how Pryce in Rebels is forged by both herself and the Empire. She was somewhat naive, had a
Coruscant
dream, but in order to survive in
Coruscant/the Empire, one has to be corrupted and do dirty things. It is relate-able to me because that’s how we have to do at work, more so if you’re in a big company or in a closed field trying to climb to the top (you can’t believe the amount of framing and backstabbing in science field). People became despicable and terrible because the environment allow only people like that to survive on top. I like her more after knowing her background, and to know that she was once just an ordinary person. It is both impressive and kind of sad to know that.
