jesus was represented more or less accurately as an ethnically jewish arab man up until the reign of pope alexander vi, in the late 15th century. since he was viciously persecuting roman jews during this time, alexander wanted to make them less sympathetic to the public, and did so in part by ordering that portrayals of jesus be based off of his son, cesare borgia.

the reason “jesus is white” is because someone purposefully attempted to alter the perception of history to benefit his goal of persecuting a targeted ethnic group.

This is true because most of our Orthodox protochristianic and byzantine representations of christ are more dark skinned than any other western European ones eps during the Renaissance

Not only that, most of the saints in Eastern orthodox church are all more representative of a similar ethnic group yet somehow everyone of them that is common in all branches of Christianity is though of as white and depicted like that in their drawings

It is a fact that everyone depicts their gods in their image, so that slowly started happening once both churches split and were each confined in their own geographical and ethnic space and influences, hence jesus and the saints starting slowly getting whiter and whiter until you get that asshole pope and a lot of other social and political issues with ethnicity and race so it gets even worse and more rediculous
