hey i’ve thought of a new way to explain the difference between math research and science research are u ready
math research: Why does pizza get hot in an oven? Well, let’s first prove ovens exist. Then we can try to prove ovens get hot. Wait, have we even proved that pizza exists? Have we proved that pizza can get hot? Have we proved that heat exists? Have we proved that I exist? That you exist?
science research: Why does pizza get hot in an oven? *sticks hand into burning oven* ahhHHHHHHHHHH WHAT’S HAPPENING
As a science major I can confirm.
Why do you guys call it science and math? They’re all fucking sciences…. ALSO… psychology, philology, history…. They’re all sciences….
They just decide into different sorts of sciences… Why do you have to differentiate in such an impractical way that you have to come up with a bunch of shit and confuse urselves…
The (un)funny thing is… what’s said in the “math” section is actually just the universal logic/concept of doing science research.
Also, there’s no single “science major” in university. There are, however, many science majors that you can choose from, and math is one of them *roll eyes*
And, pure maththematics doesn’t give a fuck about your pizza. Or any pizza.
