I hate it when a character is subjected to disproportionate retribution, or pull a karma houdini, regardless of their gender.

I think the “bad guy bites their own bullet so that the good guy won’t have blood on their own hand” trope is outdated (it’s made too obvious especially in older movies), but I can understand if it’s a kid’s show.
