The way rape is handled in media really bugs me. Far too often it comes across as way too voyeuristic. I think the only time I’ve seen it handled well was in the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist anime. They never showed the actual assault, it was just heavily implied afterwards, and it was much more effective for it. The way medialand seems to think rape is something that only happens to women is a rant for another day.
