Pacific Rim Uprising’s language problem

I’ll keep shiting on Pacific Rim Uprising OMG, I hate how they handeld Mandarin in the movie, it’s so brutal, and I’m a Mandarin user in Taiwan I can tell force everyone speak Mandarin in Taiwan is a very rude and disrespect behavior.

Del Toro is not Japanese, but all the Japanese dialogue in Pacific Rim are meaningful and respectful: the surprise when Mako found out Raleigh can understand Japanese. Marshall speaking to Mako in Japanese in personal moments. The “I love you, Sensei message” from Mako to her mentor and father during the final battle. They all have deeper emotional and cultural meaning rather than just “lol here’s some random Japanese because duh there’s a Japanese actress here and lol so exotic”. Can’t say the same for PM2.
