So looking at Thrawn’s green glasses, I think he might have bought those for the purpose of viewing art with the additional function of disguise. I might be waaay off, but the green tint might allow him to see or at least notice shades that his normal red eyes couldn’t, sort of like the glasses for colorblind people?
An interesting thought but if that were true, wouldn’t he be wearing them all the time? Or at least when he’s looking at art? I mean he’s put them on just for this meeting with Pryce.
I think his eyes would naturally filter out some red light and to see in infrared, he would have to have an extra cone in each eye, which means Thrawn would see more colours than we do. However, let me propose an alternative use for the green glasses:
