i came to realize that the scene is very much dependent on the player’s level of empathy/how much they are capable of putting themselves in someone else’s shoes. The game outright tells you with the high propability of Hank’s survival rate that he WILL survive the fall. but it doesnt tell you that there are emotional repercussions for not doing so. its not like no game did this before but its certainly interesting storytelling.

It is really amusing to see different people’s instinct decision when they first play through this game. It’s like a small psychology evaluation.

I am so surprised by people who ere aiming for “deviant” Connor would choose the not save option because you should always choose the save your partner choice in an A or B situation so that your partner will like you more, it’s not even an emotional choice for me because there’s only one logical choice to role play a deviant Connor. Guess I was playing a sympathetic machine Conner in the first time, since I pretty much shot everyone else who was a threat (except the Tracis because I know that’s a trick question and I want to please Hank)

Or my Conner was head over heel for Hank at the first sight of him lol
