1) getting exploded by ironhide’s ship. then he got shot a bunch and exploded again. he walked all of this off pretty much instantly (spotlight: cyclonus)
2) getting skatched by whirl (mtmte #1). really, just surviving an encounter with whirl
3) surviving a quantum explosion while attached to the OUTSIDE of a spaceship hull, then immediately crashing into a planet from space (mtmte #1/#2) this is slightly less impressive knowing his altmode is spaceworthy, but still
4) taking a bomb basically right in the face (mtmte #12)
5) impalement (which, admittedly, isn’t a big deal to transformers) but also fighting like ten million legislators (mtmte #19)
6) all of the crap with the dead universe (most not pictured here):
surviving the initial excursion into the dead universe with nova prime and co and living there for 6 million some odd years
somehow traveling in and out of it without any kind of protection
(spotlight: cyclonus; this might actually be an error)
surviving after languishing on a dying planet for an unknown amount of time, outlasting scourge (all hail megatron #14)
getting resurrected/empowered by d-void possessed galvatron (heart of darkness? i think. it’s so hard to tell what’s going on in that entire series)
later betraying galvatron and the whole end of the chaos theory arc, despite being right at ground zero (rodimus had to drag him away afterwards) (chaos theory / transformers #30)
later going back into the dead universe AND getting his protective forcefield broken, something which immediately disintegrated hardhead, an autobot known for being like, super tough. while nightbeat and kup were getting carried back after crossing into the regular universe, he was able to stumble along under his own power (dark cybertron)
7) getting shot up by the security team (mtmte #47) ;_;
8) not pictured, but donating some of his own spark?! to tailgate probably counts
this doesn’t even count the encounters he’s had where he’s been relatively unscathed (ie: star saber, overlord TWICE, probably more i can’t remember)
so far the only thing that’s killed him dead was tarn flying at him at a ridiculous angle and shooting him in the head with vos’s alt mode, a high powered sniper rifle, at point blank range. hell, closer than that, the muzzle’s like right against cyclonus’s temple.
honestly i’m not totally convinced that really killed him either, and were it not for the quantum reset i would absolutely advocate that there’s still a quantum duplicate cyclonus flying around in space sans most of his face
Either he’s a Phase Sixer or just really damn tough.
The most impressive thing about the good ol’ Dead Universe nonsense is that Cyclonus is the only one out of the whole survived crew (which is rare because only people with strong will can survived entering the Dead Universe in the first place) who can travel a limited time in Normal Universe because somehow his will is strong enough so that he still have a tiny bit of spark while the others are 100% dead. No one else, including Galvatron is as tough as he is.
