My brother sent me a link of commentary of Planet of the Symbiote on Youtube because I told him how gay the story is.

He said “Here is a commentary I found, you can check it out. But the commentator is very straight.”

And yeah, the dude totally glossed over the whole “bonding in the church” part but my brother thought it’s fun that the commentator called the symbiote’s cry of agony “emo cry”
