So, during its late night TV marathons the Symbiote familiarized itself with the concept of ugly christmas sweaters, and with the fact they are supposedly a very funny thing to humans.

And so it decided that, since the season was getting close, Eddie should wear one. It started by morphing into a normal black sweater with white patterns, things that seemed snowflakes or spiders depending on how you looked at them, and then it slowly perfectioned the design by gauging the reactions of people Eddie talked to who happened to notice what he was wearing. Meanwhile, Eddie remained oblivious to the whole thing (the Symbiote being very sneaky and morphing back to black everytime Eddie happened to pass by a reflecting surface)

(Flash immediately realized what was going on and found it hilarious. Andi noticed one of the increasingly ugly design, was about to ask what the heck but then she saw Flash making wide “hush!!” gestures from behind Eddie’s back. Peter just didn’t want to know, and Steven didn’t feel comfortable discussing the questionable fashion choices).

Eventually, Eddie happened to enter Liz’s office to speak with her about something, she looked up from the documents she was perusing at her desk, she paused, and then she said that if he really wanted her to give him a special pass to just walk around Alchemax naked he should have just said so. Eddie stared back, puzzled, and she pointed him to the mirror in the nearest private bathroom. A very loud “What the fuck?!” resonated, as he contemplated the hideous design showing among other things alien Santa’s sleigh being pulled by spiders with antlers.

The Symbiote was very proud.

(They eventually showed up donning a better (and uglier) outfit they planned together at the Christmas party at Flash’s house)
