When Kimsky (or whatever the man bun dude’s name is) ask Conner to choose to shoot Chloe or not, I hope there’s an action option where I can choose to say “How about I shoot your fucking face?”

So, I finished my first run of Detroit: Become Human. Everyone (at least the “main” characters) came out alive.

  • Conner/Hank story line:

YAY I GOT THE PERFECT ENDING IN THE FIRST RUN. The hug in the end is *kiss fingers*

Hank is not too difficult to deal with, I mean, he’s a big softy inside, so I also got the “best buddy” trophy too. Conner is a confused cinnamon roll, his CPU is probably running on 120% efficiency 24/7. I think there are few heart breaking endings but maybe I’ll never touch them because I am, in some aspect, a big romantic too.

Han I shoots first” chose to fire at fake Conner, and I won the fist fight that followed.
Conner never died on my hand. Yay! I got the “win every fight” trophy too.

  • Cara/Alice story line:

I kind of fucked up this story line because I can’t solve everything with my advanced QTE skill (except the high way scene). I failed at stealing clothes (I am slow on adopting the game controlling), managed to steal money, Alice didn’t like me through out the game, Luther died because I perform really bad under countdown time limit (I missed the hint of hiding him in the house), got caught  and sent to the robot concentration camp. But I survived it because Marcus can solve most things through QTE (OK that’s not very accurate but you know what I mean).

Only 5 to 10% of people survived the robot concentration camp route? I GOD DAMN SURVIVE! TAKE THAT, HUMAN!

The Alice reveal is kinda weak, maybe it’s because my relationship with Alice isn’t very high? (I did too many bad things, my Cara was a bad moral example for kids but hey, I was trying to survive!)

  • Marcus story line:

Me, a maybe asexual/aromatic (never think too deep about this so… not a clear label to myself), managed to achieve all the romantic relationships in the first run (eh, does Conner/Hank has a ship name?). North didn’t even like me in 2/3 of the game because I was trying to be a pacifist at first.

I almost screw up my revolution because I shoot first when facing danger. Dead human=no sympathy from human. So I finally fed up and decided to free the robot concentration camp in the end run *shrug* (the human should thank me for not going for the Nuke Detroit route because I want Conner and Hank to live happily ever after). I QTE through every fight scene, including some I’m sure was a bad decision.

However, I am not really satisfied with how they deal with the whole android revolution thing. The individual characters started good, you can see them having different characters and different ways of tackle the issue, but when it went to the point of “Marcus joining hands with random android to wake them”, it kind of feel cheap because on screen, it looked more like Marcus simply rewrote their program, not like they really chose to join the revolution. I mean, if you showed every single android “waking” in the same “linked and switched on” manner, they look exactly like a bunch of droid army instead of people making their own choices. Marcus looked more like Mr. Smith,
assimilating androids into his image, rather than actually converting them. I know they don’t have that much time to develop and unfold the whole thing, but I think it’s a miss of a great potential here.
