Lost Light #14 is a great issue that reminds me of how MTMTE used to pick up older comic reference and incorporated it into a new arc.

I am glad to see the Grimlock story is finally being told.

However, about the last panel: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

This is transformers to you, my dear non-tf fan followers. They are all gay and they fuck inside other ppl

My personal issues to the current IDW Transformers comic:

I have no interest nor the energy to read all those shoe-horned crossover comic lines whose mere purpose is to boost the other unrelated franchises through the Transformers IP.

Once or twice is OK, I get it is a business move. But making it a long term project? No thanks.

Really, if I want to read human related stories, I’ll read Star Wars stuffs. They have good human characters in their own distinct universe.

MTMTE Season 2 lacks it’s Season 1 magic (I made a post long before anyone made any comment about it’s issue), and the decline of it’s story structure and overall contingency further plunged in it’s ending arc. LL didn’t exactly pick up it’s truncated pacing from the start, even though the Functionist Universe arc did manage to round-up the addition of Megatron in a more cohesive manner. The new arc looked better after Megatron’s departure (it tells that JRO is not good at writing things that’s not in his original drafts even though he only needed to alter or add a few new things to the original plots, instead of writing a whole new thing like, I believe, in John Barber’s care when he’s the one who has to deal with Hasbro’s “toy promotional events” every time), but I can tell that my (and a lot of people’s) passion have been wore out by it, so that even the Mutineer Trilogy didn’t make me feel that exciting.

I mean, it’s not as bad as arguable the darkest hour of the IDW Transformers comics: the infamous Costa TF: The Ongoing Series. Not even close (you new comers don’t know how painful it was to have to endure literal garbage for years during that time). But it’s a fact that people are losing interest (judging by the post number both in here and on TFW forum), and although I still read LL more or less out of habit, I don’t know when the actual passion of reading it will be back.

I’ll still reblog TF-related stuffs here, but I really hope there will be some good contents from the comics that will prompt me into actively drawing them again.

minimusminor:

Selections from Transformers: Lost Light #11. Haven’t voiced the galaxy’s worst New Zealander in a while, and it’s always nice to use the actual accent I have for once. An expansive thanks to @armouredswampert for the additional voices of Thunderclash and Riptide.

LL #11

I can understand why people wanted Megatron and “his fanclub” gone, because let’s be serious, what Megatron did is irredeemable (even though most TFs were pretty numb about war stuffs probably because it has lasted so long that it has became the norm), and I think that’s why Thunderclash agreed to the mutiny so easily. However, the means Getaway used to achieve it were too over, and in the end, it’s not really about Megatron but himself. I really like how his true face was shown in this issue, which is such a refreshing change of air to Lost Light after so many issues of blend almost nothing.

Annnnd… I don’t know if I read it too much, but the way Sunder phrased how he’d like to do to his victims… it sounded disturbingly like a figurative metaphor of (mind) rape. I mean, it’s apparently so perverted that even Getaway thought it’s disgusting. To think that he agreed to let Sunder do that to multiple of his crewmates… you, sir, are disgusting.

PS: I think Jack Lawrence’s art is exceptionally good in this issue.

Lost Light #10:

Mood: Bitch slap an asshole with a paint glass while in stealth mode.

Interesting plot twist. Hmm.

(Not entirely serious) Speculation:

#10 is Thunderclash’s loophole coma. The event (or a similar version of it) in his coma did happen, but it ended with Getaway catching the protectobots, locked them up somewhere on the Lost Light and trapped Thunderclash in the coma. Thunderclash will break the loophole and get the protectobots out in the next issue. The protectobots will form Defensor in the third issue of the trilogy and smash Getaway’s face worse than Mirage did with that paint glass.

Edit: after some thoughts during work (don’t judge me), it seems that #10 is more likely the protectobots’ (collective?) loophole coma. They came in, got caught, and were set in coma using the edited version of their memory. Still think either them or Thunderclash will break the loophole.
