i can’t believe thor wearing arm guards with loki’s helmet on them in avengers AND thor having a strand of loki’s hair braided into his own hair in age of ultron are both real things that the costume department did and loki in ragnarok still has the gall to ask poor thor “did you mourn me?” like yes loki you made your jock brother so sad that he started accessorizing

@redwoodriver @agent0hio the receipts. the hair I thought at first was jane’s but in other shots it’s 100% black and silky lookin….. like hey marvel? I just wanna talk. i just wanna talk

I just want to add this is so deep the hair thing I mean. For most Vikings hair was incredebly important, before entering a fight or war they washed it and storked it and styled it,

(this is no joke Vikings were realy neat, most of them bathed every saturady, this is more than most monks or christians did in a lifetime)

Long hair was a sign of status and of strength, they belived the strength layed in the hair the most, prisinors and people who lost their hornor had their hair cut of (note thor ragnarör and catch fells)

and the more baids you were wearing meant the more fights you had won (or been in labour this was an equal thing), if you did in a war or fight, they belived your life had ended so hornourfull that no matter what you would go straight to Valhalla (you know its like eden to them)

And Thor is wearing Lokis hair in a braid, openly shown to everyone, hes not just carrieng it with him, he is showing he was only able to escape and “win this fight because of his brother, hes wearing a braid for his brother who died in battle, he does so becauseLoki cant,

he strongly belives that beside all that happened Loki proved that he belongs in Valhalla, the place where the brave live forever
