7 Book Covers in 7 Days Challenge! Rules: Each day, I will post a book cover of a book that I love and nominate someone new to start the challenge. No explanation, no discussion, just post the cover and by doing so spread some literary love! lol figures i’d forget about this challenge on the second day. anyway, let’s do day 2 and 3 with my favorite thieving novels! (with the editions that i have ofc ❤️)
I’ll probably forget to do this if I have to go seven days straight, and a lot of my favorite books are either still sealed up from the hurricane last year, or deep in the closet in boxes where I still haven’t unpacked them from the move.
So technically what you have here are favorites I had accessible enough because I’ve reread them recently or gotten lucky enough to dig them out, or aren’t too delicate to be shifted. (Some of my oldest books are in very bad condition.)
I tried to limit myself to one work of each author too. (That’s tough with a few of them.) And no former textbooks otherwise you’d have a fucking Norton anthology in here and that thing’s a freaking Bible.
(I kind of want to see what @lazaefair reads/works from too though, because they like to tag me in things I panic and never finish, and @rave-skeeterz , @eabevella , and @missmonty too! I totally want book covers from any other people who also love books. AT ME. PLEASE. I love books so much and I ask many dumb questions and get scared to tag people sometimes even if we talk on a daily basis.)
Since my goldfish brain will probably forget it, I’ll just post all the books here. Basically I just pick the first seven books sitting next to my desk, since I put the ones I like there. Have a look of our publishers’ taste in making book covers:
1. Nineteen Eighty-Four with creepy eye cover. 2.
Die Verwandlung
with Kafka’s face. 3.
Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea with cute cover art. Thanks for @egregiousderp I didn’t know they released a new, complete translation of the book. 4. The Master and Margarita
translated in simplified chinese and published in China because for some reason we don’t have this book translated in Taiwan? 5. but we do have a translation of
Fathers and Sons. 6.
Il Principe
with nice pillars. 7. Crime and Punishment. Probably my all time favorite novel
